Guidebooks

Sometimes we just don't know where to begin when implementing changes. The key is to start with small, bite size changes so we can harness good consistency to ensure we have a good tester to measure whether it is yielding any benefit.

I know that a healthy mind starts with a health body and there are many fun ways to dip our toes in this area.

As  I live on a farm I needed to create a diverse, rich set of tools to help keep me motivated to stay active. I have compiled a list of my favourite activities and I dare you to give some a try.

Cardio Guide

Cardiovascular exercise, or cardio, offers significant mental health benefits, including reduced stress and anxiety, improved mood, and enhanced cognitive function. Regular cardio workouts can boost endorphin levels, leading to feelings of happiness and euphoria.

Additionally, cardio can improve sleep quality, which in turn enhances mental clarity and focus.

Cardio workouts can help reduce stress by stimulating the production of neurohormones like norepinephrine, which improve cognition and mood. Regular exercise can also improve the body's ability to respond to stress.

I know we may not all enjoy exercise but it is good for both the mind and body. Key thing is to find something that is fun and easy to implement in to your daily routine. Start small, even just 20 minutes of cardio done 1x week can yield great benefits.

I've personally tried and tested these exercise video's and absolutely love them.

Strength Building

Strength training provides numerous benefits for mental health, including reduced anxiety and depression symptoms, improved mood and cognitive function, and enhanced self-esteem. It also contributes to better sleep, a key factor in overall mental well-being.

Strength training using your own body can be just as effective. Pilates is a great way to build muscle groups through repetitive exercises targeted at specific muscle groups. I dare you to give my selection of 10-minute Pilates workouts a try.
